Documents on the artworks export. We will facilitate and shorten the process of passing through the formalities related to artwork export. We will obtain in the shortest time period possible a certificate of Ministry of Culture allowing to export a specific work of art (actual paperwork time depends on a painting dating, as well as on whether this painting is 50 or 100 years old). It's worth mentioning that artworks older than 100 years are banned to be exported from Russia by law. Before you get a certificate (permit) for export, the artwork should be described, photographed, and should pass the authentication of one of the accredited experts from the Ministry of Culture. The expert will determine level of an artwork and will define its market value, according to which export duty of 10% for artworks over 50 years of age and 5% for artworks under 50 years will be imposed. The certificate has no expiration date. An individual may take out artwork in person, in his luggage. In this case, both name and surname of the person, his passport number and country of destination are stated in the certificate. Having declared the artwork and presented the certificate and the artwork itself to the customs office at the time of the border crossing you can take the art work oversees either handing it in to the luggage compartment or take it on board. We can also deliver art works anywhere in the world. In this case, the full name of the sender, his passport details and country of delivery are stated in the export certificate. We collaborate with leading courier companies such as DHL, Fedex, UPS etc. In both cases, you will need a professional packaging of an art work either in boxes or in crates made of corrugated cardboard of fiberboard. |
